Media accreditation / Registration are compulsory and are a pre requisite for participating in the conference. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MEDIA ACCREDITATION / REGISTRATION FORM Registration Process Please fill out the application form and submit it along with a copy of your official press credentials or a letter of assignment to the conference on the official stationery of the media organization for which you work or are deputed to cover the conference. If you are a freelance journalist wishing to cover the conference, please submit copies of three published by-line articles and an official letter of assignment from a media organization. Journalists are required to submit the necessary documentation to enable Conference organizers to provide free registration and accreditation. Please ensure that the entire process of media accreditation should be completed (including acceptance by the Conference organizers) by January 20, 2008. Media accreditation and registration does not include scholarship/funding support (travel/stay) to attend the Conference. However, under the Microbicides, a few limited scholarships - based on needs and merit - may be available towards the end of January 2008. A specially constituted technical committee on media-scholarships would evaluate all the applications (scholarship requests) to suggest a few most deserving candidates. The decision of the committee shall be final. However, only those media/journalists would be considered by the committee for the scholarship support, who:
Have undertaken the accreditation/registration procedure prior to the deadline of Jan 20th 2008
Who would furnish all the requirements as are stipulated under the accreditation form
Who clearly request for Scholarship in the given section on the form.
All accredited journalists would continue to receive regular press material and story updates through registered e-mails. In case of their participation into the Conference, the section below on Entitlements applies. Entitlements Media registration includes entry to all Congress Sessions, the Exhibition Hall and Poster Areas, the Opening Session, Welcome and Closing Session. Needless to emphasize, it would also enable journalists to attend regular press briefings and access to media facilitation room (with transmission/e-mail facilities for sending articles on a daily basis). It also includes the congress bag and materials. Important: We cannot take responsibility for postal delays or delivery failure of supporting documentation. Applying journalists may send advance copies through e-mail (word/PDF files) to the Conference organizers. As the number of media registrations is limited, we reserve the right to refuse applications. Registration and accreditation will be essential for all journalists participating in the conference.
