Scholarships will provide support to a limited number of researchers, health care practitioners and
community representatives from developed and developing countries to attend the conference. Support
will be in the form of payment of registration fees and/or expenses for housing and travel
(e.g., meals, per diem incidental expenses, and visas).
Selection Criteria (listed in priority order)
Preference will be given to:
- Individuals whose abstracts have been accepted and those who have submitted abstracts.
- Individuals from developing countries.
- Individuals with backgrounds in HIV/AIDS research, prevention, care and / or treatment.
- Individuals likely to effectively communicate knowledge gained at the conference to
their scientific colleagues and their respective communities.
- Individuals representing diverse professional discipline and /or geographic
areas most affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
- Individuals demonstrating unusual commitment and desire to attend the conference as
exhibited by their efforts to seek and obtain support from other sources.
Important note:
- To ensure equitable distribution of awards, please answer all questions.
- Incomplete application forms, those without statements of recommendation, or late applications
will not be processed.
- The Application form should be completed in English only.
- The deadline to submit the Scholarship form is October 15th 2007.
